Training

We train the refugees targeted to strengthening employable skills of job seekers, giving better insight about professionalism and ethics in the work life along with labour rights and liabilities which allows refugees to better adapt to their new workplace and environment. United Work has an extensive training library, there are well educated and experienced experts (Arabic, Turkish, English speaker) who work in the department. Training  library is customized in line with the needs of job seekers as well as employers. Industries, where there are high number of job opportunities for job seekers are also considered while customizing the content of training programs.

Job-Fit Support Programme For Employees

Coaching and supporting program developed and organized by United Work to support the integration of refugees into Turkish business life. Main goal of the program is to make Syrian refugees to prepare professionally for getting a good job they go with pleasure, be more aware of their interpersonal and employee skills and getting to know expectations of the companies and Turkish community.

Job-Fit Support Program for Entrepreneurs

Coaching and supporting program developed and organized by United Work to support the integration of refugees into Turkish business life. Main goal of the program is to contribute to self-knowledge and responsibility of the refugees to prepare them to start their own business with a good and well-studied plan. Plan includes information such as knowing the market, legal information, organization charts, basic financial tables, workflow.

Training

Shorter version of Job-fit Support Program customized according to the needs of women. The training target is to support attendees to improve, pitch themselves by adding a new value to their performances. The women training encourages Syrian women to feel comfortable and confident with themselves. This program specifically designed for disadvantaged women to empower them and to ensure self-resilience. The training program has been designed and developed entirely based on gender equality.

Job-fit Support Program for Textile and Hotel Industries

Trainings for working or employed refugees at a company or several different companies under the main brand/ main business partner. Based on company request. Main idea for these trainings is to support refugees with the basic information needed for professional life such as Differences and Similarities Between Cultures, Workplace and General Communication, Written and Unwritten Turkish Business Rules, Basic Labour Law.

Specially designed for Professional CV writing techniques together with cover letters and personal profiles.

Specially Designed Training Programs

Training of Trainers

Coaching and supporting program developed and organized by United Work to support especially Syrian women who prefer to work as teachers (Syrian women have a high tendency to work either in NGOs or in teaching/ training industry as a part of their cultural reflection). The program aims to develop their presentation skills, plus as an introduction module to training industry itself.

Mentoring Skills

Mentoring program developed and organized by United Work to support projects like Embark. Main aim is to make aware of companies about Syrian reality by teaching them reverse mentoring. In this methodology, both sides are partners in mentoring, while young people gain information and experience about Turkish business life, companies get to know Syrian culture by meeting relatively younger generations.

Basic Communication and Workplace

Specially designed for blue collars to support them understand topics such as personal communication, workplace communication, the relation between them, importance of body language, importance of cultural barriers in terms of communication, suggestion boxes, open door policy, employee representation.

Digital Trainings

Covid-19 Information Training

United Work has developed a specific training due to Covid-19 global pandemic to provide accurate information on Covid-19 to employees to protect them in workplace and their private life. Session includes symptoms of it, necessary precautions in workplace, advises of Ministry of Health, mobile application, which is developed by the Ministry, mandatory measures etc. On the other hand, it includes financial support mechanisms for employees and employers to be minimize difficulties which will be faced for them.

Digital Transformation Training

United Work is organizing Digital Transformation Trainings with the aim of providing capacity building by supporting enterprises in digital transformation and contribution to sustainable growth.   • Subsidies are often available and provided through outside funds within differentiating conditions. You are kindly encouraged to contact United Work to request information on current subsidy possibilities.

  • Currently, there are slightly over 4 million refugees in Turkey. All refugees whom are above legal working age and whom obtain remaining conditions are considered part of United Work candidate pool.

  • Along with the headquarter in İstanbul; United Work has region offices in İzmir and Bursa. Also, United Work provides assistance to companies from all around Turkey from distance or on-site upon request.

  • Subsidies are often available and provided through outside funds within differentiating conditions. You are kindly encouraged to contact United Work to request information on current subsidy possibilities.

  • If the refugee does nt hold a Temporary Proctection ID or registered under Temporary Protection Status in a different city than the employer; a work permit application shall not be possible. United Work commits to check candidates eligibility to work permit application and direct only suitable candidates.

  • Our clients are mainly looking for ‘blue-collar’ workers. Blue-collar work may involve skilled or unskilled manufacturing, sanitation, construction, mechanical maintenance, technical installation and many other types of physical work. Also, jobs in restaurants or shops. A higher level academic education is often not required for many blue-collar jobs. However, certain fields may require specialized training, licensing or certification as well as a high school diploma.
